Homemade honey cake in 30 minutes
There are few people who don't love a well-cooked, flavorful honey cake with delicious buttercream. It's best to make it yourself at home, the only way you can be sure of its safety.
Popular food blogger Olha Matvii shared a recipe for lazy honey cake on her YouTube channel that will always turn out well, and in just 30 minutes (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
Ingredients:
- Butter - 300 g
- Sugar - 180 g
- Honey - 4 tbsp.
- Soda - 2 tsp.
- Eggs - 4 pcs.
- Flour - 400 g
- Biscuits - 200 g
- Sour cream 20% 1.5 - 2 liters
- Powdered sugar - 200 g
- Vanilla - a pinch
- Sour cream thickener according to the proportion on the package
Method of preparation:
- Take a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add butter, sugar, honey and melt until smooth. Be sure to stir so that nothing burns, when the mixture begins to foam, remove from heat and let the mass cool slightly.
- Next, add the eggs one at a time, making sure to stir immediately so that they do not curdle.
- Then add the flour, mix well so that it is homogeneous, without lumps, and add the baking soda, mix again.
- Take two baking sheets, cover them with parchment and pour the dough, spread it well and send it to bake for 5-7 minutes at 180 C.
- Take out the finished cakes, cut off the edges, and cut the cakes in half.
- Crumbs for the parcel: put the remaining edges in a blender with the cookies and blend well.
- Cream: mix the sour cream with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and add the thickener, mix well.
- To assemble the cake: put the cream on the first layer, put the cake on it, then the cream, then the cake and cream again, sprinkle the sides with crumbs and refrigerate for a few hours.
This dessert will be a great addition to tea, coffee, and cocoa.
