Who doesn't love a cooling, moderately sweet and flavorful strawberry ice cream, especially on hot summer days? And don't let the cooking process scare you, because it's just elementary, and as a result, you'll get a delicious treat that will perfectly save you from the heat.
FoodOboz has prepared 2 simple recipes for homemade strawberry ice cream, but you can replace the berries with your favorite ones, and the taste will not be spoiled.
1. Strawberry ice cream with mint on a custard base
Ingredients:
- fresh strawberries - 500 g
- milk - 130-150 ml
- 33% fat cream - 500 ml
- sugar - 150 g
- egg yolks - 3 pcs.
- mint - 1 sprig
Method of preparation:
- Beat the egg yolks with sugar until smooth, add milk and beat again.
- Put the finished egg mixture in a glass bowl in a water bath, cook for about 10 minutes until it thickens completely, be sure to stir thoroughly all the time to get a lump-free custard. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
- Wash the strawberries, be sure to remove the stalks, and grind through a sieve to make a smooth liquid puree.
- Combine the cooled cream and strawberry puree and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream well and add it to the custard strawberry mixture, mix very gently.
- Chop the mint and add it to the mixture to add even more freshness to the dessert.
- Put the mixture into a suitable dish and put it in the freezer for a day. Every hour, take it out and stir it well to make sure there is no ice.
Before serving, top the ice cream with your favorite jam or chocolate and add nuts.
2. Homemade ice cream with strawberries and condensed milk
Ingredients:
- strawberries - 400 g
- condensed milk - 150 g
- fatty cream - 200 ml
- powdered sugar - 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
- Wash and peel the strawberries, put them in a blender, sprinkle with powdered sugar and whisk until smooth.
- Add the condensed milk to the strawberry mixture and mix.
- Then pour in the cream and beat again for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour the finished ice cream into an ice cream maker and put it in the freezer for 3-5 hours.
