Homemade stuffed cabbage rolls are traditionally made with rice and meat. In addition, the filling can be supplemented with dried or fresh mushrooms, making the cabbage rolls very juicy and flavorful.

The recipe for stuffed cabbage rolls with mushrooms and rice was published in one of the cooking blogs (maslyana_tm) on Instagram. According to the recipe, the cabbage rolls are also topped with sour cream sauce, which makes the dish very tender and flavorful.

Ingredients:

  • cabbage - 1 pc
  • dried porcini mushrooms - 50 g
  • mushrooms - 500 g
  • onions - 2 pcs
  • round-grain rice - 200 g
  • vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper

Sauce:

  • broth from porcini mushrooms - 500 ml
  • sour cream - 200 g
  • flour - 1 tsp.
  • salt and pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Cut out the cabbage head. Dip the cabbage in boiling water and gradually separate all the leaves. Cut a seal in the middle of the leaves.

2. Boil the rice in advance.

3. Pour boiling water over the porcini mushrooms and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes from the moment of boiling. Take out the cooked mushrooms and reserve the broth for the sauce.

4. Chop the onion, mushrooms and porcini mushrooms. Fry together for 5-7 minutes.

5. Mix the roast with the rice.

6. Mix all the necessary ingredients for the sauce.

7. Form the cabbage rolls and put them in the mold. Pour over the sauce.

8. Bake at 180 degrees for 60 minutes.
