Homemade horseradish sauce with tomatoes: how to make a popular appetizer
Horseradish is the best spice that has a bright flavor and can be found right in your garden. This product can become not only an ingredient for a variety of dishes, but also the basis for an independent appetizer - horseradish sauce. It can be served with lard, baked meat, or simply eaten with bread.
The idea of making horseradish sauce was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Tetiana (tanyushina).
Ingredients:
- tomatoes - 1 kg
- horseradish root - 100 g
- garlic - 100 g
- salt - 1 tsp.
- sugar - 2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the horseradish root and garlic. Cut the tomatoes into slices.
2. Pass everything through a meat grinder. Add salt and sugar and mix.
3. Put into sterile jars, close with lids and refrigerate.
