Homemade budget pita bread: cooked in a skillet
Pita bread is a great universal base for a variety of dishes. You can wrap absolutely any filling in it – it turns out to be very budget-friendly and tasty. You can make the cake itself in a frying pan.
The idea of making homemade pita bread in a frying pan was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Svitlana with the nickname recepti_svitlana21.
Ingredients:
- flour - 200 g
- hot water (boiling water) - 100 ml
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 10 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Add salt to the flour, mix and add water and oil.
2. Knead the dough
3. Put it in a ball and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Next, roll out very thinly and cut to the diameter of your pan.
5. Fry on a dry frying pan on both sides.
6. Remove and immediately grease well with water on both sides and cover with a wet towel. (This is to keep them soft).
