Homemade baked pork with apple jam: Yevhen Klopotenko revealed the secrets of the perfect dish

Baked pork is a rather satisfying, tasty, and flavorful meat dish; if cooked well and seasoned with spices and garlic, it will be the best treat on any table. Often, housewives cook it incorrectly, so the meat ends up dry and overcooked.

Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko shared on his website a recipe and secrets for cooking delicious baked pork, which you can easily prepare at home.

The expert highlighted the main points of cooking delicious pork:

• garlic
• citrus fruits
• sweet mustard
• coriander
• rosemary
• low temperature
• long time in the oven
• blackcurrant jam

"The main thing is to choose the right flavors and use the right meat. Fire and time will do the rest for you. No special effort is required," Klopotenko said.

Ingredients:

• Pork loin – 600 g
• Garlic – 2-3 pcs.
• Lime – 1 pc.
• Apple – 200 g
• Water – 100 ml
• Sugar – 50 g
• Honey – 50 g
• Lemon – 1/2 pc.
• Olive oil – 2 tbsp
• Salt – to taste
• Pepper – a pinch
• Anise star – 1 pc.
• Rosemary sprigs – 2-3 pcs.
• Bay leaf – 1-2 pcs.

Method of preparation:

1. Wash and dry the meat with a paper towel.

2. Brush the dry meat with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper on all sides.

3. Make cuts in the meat and put rosemary, garlic, and lime juice.

4. Honey-lemon sauce: squeeze the juice from the lemon, add honey and anise, mix, and coat the meat well with this mixture.

5. Put the cooked meat on a baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes at 180°C.

6. For the confiture: peel and dice the apples, put them in a saucepan, add sugar, water, rosemary, and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.

7. Pour the apple jam over the cooked pork and serve.
