Homemade bagels are like croissants: they are very soft and fluffy
If you want to make soft, airy, and fluffy bagels, you should make them with yeast dough. It's very easy to work with and always turns out well. These bagels can be filled with any kind of filling : cherries, jam, jam, apples, poppy seeds, cottage cheese.
Food blogger Anna with the nickname grennysmith shared a recipe for yeast dough bagels on her Instagram page, which are very soft and fluffy.
Ingredients:
- flour - 370 g
- salt
- sugar - 70 g
- yeast - 4 g
- warm milk - 200 ml
- eggs - 1 pc
- butter - 45 g
Additionally:
- eggs
- powdered sugar
Method of preparation:
1. To make the dough, mix all the ingredients except the butter. It should be added in parts at the end. Knead the dough until it starts to come away from the bowl. When ready, cover it and leave it for 1.5 hours.
2. When the dough has risen, put it on a floured surface and roll it into a circle. Cut the circle into triangles.
3. Form croissants with a filling. The filling can be any: jam, jam, chocolate, nutella, etc. Cover the croissants with a towel and leave for 30 minutes.
4. Before baking, brush the buns with a mixture of egg and water/milk.
5. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the croissants with powdered sugar when ready.
