Healthy thin pancakes without flour: how to replace the main ingredient
Classic thin pancakes made with flour are quite high in calories and satisfying. Especially if you eat products with a variety of fillings. Therefore, the main ingredient needed for the dough can be replaced.
The idea of making healthy pancakes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olesya with the nickname smachna dopomoha. The dough is based on ordinary millet.
Ingredients for 8 pieces:
- millet - 250 g
- water - 200 ml (add by adjusting the density)
- butter (melted) - 25 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- salt - a pinch
- sweetener - equivalent to 50 g of sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Make the preparation in the evening: pour boiling water over millet for a few minutes (to avoid bitterness).
2. Drain, rinse thoroughly, cover with water at room temperature and leave overnight.
3. In the morning, drain the water, mix the millet and a small part of the water in a blender.
4. When the mass becomes homogeneous and all the grains are ground, add all the remaining ingredients and beat well.
5. I baked it in a non-stick frying pan without oil, like regular pancakes, periodically stirring the mass to prevent the millet from settling.
6. Serve with yogurt and strawberries.
