Healthy pumpkin-filled vertuta: how to make a dish from pita bread
Pumpkin vertuta is a delicious, juicy, and tender pie. It is originally made from puff pastry, but if you don't have enough time, there is an alternative - pita bread. By the way, pumpkin filling can be supplemented with apple, zest, nuts, and spicy cinnamon.
Nutritionist Tetiana Lakusta with nickname dr.lakusta, shared a recipe for a healthy pumpkin pita bread vertuta on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- pita bread - 2 sheets
- egg - 1 pc.
- vanilla sugar - 1 p
- pumpkin - 200-300 g
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the raw pumpkin on a coarse grater.
2. Mix the pumpkin with vanilla sugar. Leave for 10 minutes, then squeeze out the excess water.
3. Wrap the resulting pumpkin mass in pita bread in the form of a roll. Put it on a baking sheet.
4. Grease the vertuta with an egg. Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
