Healthy homemade meat sausages without chemicals: how to cook
Nowadays, there is a wide variety of meat products in stores, but they can hardly be called safe for consumption. They contain a lot of different flavor enhancers and colors. Therefore, it is worth using home-made options.
The idea of making homemade safe sausages was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olena with the nickname olena_mykolaivna56. To do this, you will need a natural casing.
Ingredients:
- meat – 1 kg.
- cream 20% – 500 ml
- salt – 9 g
- nitrite salt – 9 g
- ice water – 80 ml.
- sugar – 1 tsp.
- sausage seasoning – 1 tsp.

Method of preparation:
1. Twist the meat in a meat grinder on a fine grate 2-3 times.
2. Add all the ingredients and mix well until the minced meat is sticky.
3. Wrap the intestine with minced meat all the way around.
4. Then tie the ends and roll the sausages.
5. Prick with a needle, put on a wire rack, and put in a preheated oven to 90 degrees for one hour.
6. Then put a container of water on the bottom of the oven and cook the sausages for another two hours at the same temperature of 90 degrees (3 hours for baking).
7. Remove the sausages and put them in a pan of cold water for 5 minutes.
8. Allow to dry and can be used or stored.
