Healthy chicken nuggets without vegetable oil: how to prepare
Most people consider nuggets to be unhealthy fast food. The meat pieces are first dipped in flour and then fried in a large amount of oil. It's hard to call this dish healthy. But you just need to change the cooking technology.
The idea of making healthy baked nuggets was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger named solopiika. For breading, use regular sugar-free flakes.
Ingredients:
- chicken fillet - 500 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- milk - 50 ml.
- unsweetened corn flakes - 100 g
- Parmesan (or hard cheese) - 50 g
- flour - 2 tbsp.
- salt
- smoked paprika
- dried garlic/onion powder
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the fillet into small pieces.
2. Pound a little with a special hammer.
3. Season with salt, paprika and dried garlic/onion.
4. Beat the egg with milk and a pinch of salt.
5. Grind corn flakes. Add finely grated cheese and mix.
6. Dip each piece of meat in flour, then in the egg and then in corn breading with cheese.
7. Place on a paper-lined baking sheet and bake at 210 degrees for 25 minutes.
