Healthy and unrealistically delicious guacamole: the chef shares the secrets of the perfect dish
Guacamole is the most popular dish you can make with avocados. It is extremely easy to prepare, but only one nuance can ruin the product. After all, the taste of guacamole directly depends on what kind of avocado the delicacy is made of.
Ukrainian chef Valeriy Ponomar shared his thoughts on which avocado to choose for the perfect guacamole and what to combine it with on his Instagram page.
According to the expert, a quality avocado is easily separated from the peel and can be easily crushed with a fork.
Ingredients for guacamole:
- avocado - 120 g
- tomato - 60 g
- red onion - 40 g
- cilantro - a small bunch (can be replaced with parsley to taste)
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- ground black pepper
- hot pepper - 1/3 tsp
- salt as desired
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the avocado, separate from the peel, mash with a fork.
2. Drizzle with lemon juice.
3. Chop the onion and tomato and add to the avocado.
4. Chop the greens.
5. Peel the hot pepper and chop finely.
6. Add spices, mix everything.
7. Serve as a spread on bread.
A life hack that will help keep avocados fresh for a long time was shared by media nutritionist Myroslava Ulyanina on her Facebook page.
If you buy a solid avocado from the store, you can do one of these things with it:
- Wrap in foil and place in a dark, cool place.
- Put it in a paper craft bag and wrap it so that there is no air access, and also send it to a dark, cold place.
- Put it together with apples or bananas and follow step 2.
