Green pea guacamole: how to make a refreshing summer appetizer
Classic guacamole is made with avocado. But this dish can also be made with green peas. Right now, they are fresh and juicy, so the taste will be very good.
The idea of making guacamole from young green peas was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yulia Senych (yuliia.senych). Add lots of fresh greens.
Ingredients:
- fresh young peas - 500 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- soy sauce - 2-3 tbsp
- parsley - 2-3 stalks
- garlic - 2-3 cloves
- olive oil - 2 tbsp
- salt/pepper
- tomatoes - 2 pcs.
- a pinch of red pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the young peas and add the onion and parsley.
2. Beat with a blender until combined.
3. Add lemon juice and olive oil to the pea puree.
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and pour soy sauce over the meat.
5. Finely chop the tomato.
6. Add to the peas. You can also add red pepper, if desired.
7. Mix everything until combined.
