Grated pie with plum jam: it will turn out like grandma's
Grated plum jam pie is a classic of our childhood. This type of pie was prepared in almost every home and served as a delicacy for coffee or tea.
A food blogger with the nickname inna_la.food decided to remind us how to make this pie correctly. On Instagram, she also shared the exact amount of ingredients to add to make the pie perfect.
Ingredients
- Flour - 270 gr
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1/3 tsp
- Butter - 120 gr
- Yolk - 1 pc
- Water - 40-50 ml
- Plum jam
- Starch - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation
1. Mix the flour with salt and sugar.
2. Roll the cold butter in the flour and grate it.
3. Rub the butter and flour together with your hands to form crumbs.
4. Add the egg yolk and 50 ml of ice water. Knead a stiff dough, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
5. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Put one of the parts into the baking dish, smoothing it with your hands.
6. Add 1 tsp of starch to the plum jam and stir well.
7. Spread the jam on the dough.
8. Rub the second part of the dough on top on a coarse grater, spread it evenly over the pie and send it to bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
