Grated peach pie: what to use for baking
The advantage of grated pie over other desserts is its ease of preparation, small amount of ingredients, and the fact that you can use any filling: fresh fruit or jam. And to make a delicate shortcrust pastry, it is best to use butter as a base.
Food blogger Kateryna Mull shared a recipe for grated peach pie on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
Dough:
- butter – 150 g
- flour – 230 g
- salt – a pinch
- sugar – 2 tbsp
Filling:
- peaches
- lemon juice
- sugar
Method of preparation:
1. To prepare the dough, grate cold butter. Add flour, sugar and salt. Knead a homogeneous dough, and divide it into two parts: put one in a mold, forming the sides, and put the other in the freezer.
2. To prepare the fresh peach filling, boil the fruit with sugar for 15 minutes. Then add a little lemon juice.
3. Put the prepared filling into the mold.
4. Grate the rest of the dough on top. Spread evenly.
5. Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
