A food blogger with the nickname vika_marchenko__ knows exactly how to make grated cherry pie. On Instagram, she said that you can use any jam and even fresh berries to make it.

Ingredients for a d28cm baking dish:

  • Butter – 180 gr
  • Flour – 450 gr
  • Sugar – 90 gr
  • Vanilla sugar – 10 gr
  • Baking powder – 5 g
  • Egg – 2 pcs
  • Sour cream – 80 g

Ingredients for the filling:

  • Cherry – 500 g
  • Sugar – 60 gr
  • Corn starch – 15 g

Method of preparation:

1 Sift the flour with baking powder and mix with sugar and vanilla sugar.

2. Add the chilled butter cut into cubes and grind the mass into crumbs.

3. Add the eggs and sour cream and knead the dough.

4. Wrap 1/3 of the dough in cling film and put it in the freezer, wrap the rest in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 40 minutes.

5. Prepare the filling. Heat the cherries to make them juicy. Mix the sugar with the starch and add to the cherries, cook until thickened. Cool.

6. Roll out the chilled dough from the refrigerator into a thin layer and put it into the mold, forming the sides.

7. Put the filling on top.

8. Grate the dough from the freezer and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar if desired (1 tsp cinnamon + 1 tsp sugar, mix well).

9. Bake for 35 minutes at 180 degrees.
