Georgian-style salad with low-salted cucumbers is a delicious alternative to the classic low-salted vegetables. In addition to the usual greens and garlic, apple or balsamic vinegar, spicy hot peppers, and brown sugar instead of white sugar are added to the dish.
Food blogger Vira (vira_palamar) shared a recipe for Georgian-style salad with low-salted cucumbers on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cucumbers - 1 kg
- garlic - 4 cloves
- salt - 1 dessert spoon
- brown sugar - 1 tea spoon
- apple/balsamic vinegar - 1 tea spoon
- greens - 50 g
- hot pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the cucumbers and cut them into cubes.
2. Chop the garlic, herbs and pepper.
3. Mix chopped vegetables and herbs with cucumbers.
4. Add salt, sugar, and vinegar to the salad. Mix thoroughly.
5. Leave the salad in the refrigerator overnight.
