Galette with apple jam: how to make the simplest pie

A galette with apple jam is perhaps the easiest apple pie to make. Without any hassle with the dough and in just a few minutes, you will get a very flavorful dessert with a juicy filling that just melts in your mouth.

Food blogger Viktoriia Chaikovska (vica.chaikovskaya) shared a recipe for a galette with apple jam on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • flour – 200 g
  • butter – 50 g
  • sour cream – 2 tbsp
  • sugar – 4 tbsp
  • salt – 0.5 tsp
  • cold water – 3 tbsp

Method of preparation:

1. Mix all the ingredients and knead the dough. Wrap in plastic wrap or a bag and leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

2. Roll out the dough.

3. Spread the filling, not reaching the sides. Roll the sides up to the middle, forming a biscuit.

4. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
