Fried strawberry jam: how to cook it correctly to make it bright and tasty
Strawberry jam can be made with berries, as well as cooked in a saucepan and even in a frying pan. To prevent it from burning and to make it bright, cooks advise adding citric acid and butter.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious fried strawberry jam, which is cooked in a pan.
Life hack: to prevent foam from forming constantly when making jam, add a few grams of butter to the pan after removing it for the first time; you won't taste it.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of washed berries
- 200 g of sugar
- 10 g of butter
- 0.5 tsp. citric acid
Method of preparation:
1. Put the strawberries in a dry frying pan, stir and fry over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent them from burning.
2. Add 0.5 tsp of citric acid and 200 g of sugar to the jam, stir and wait until all the sugar has dissolved. Fry for another 10+ minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Pour the jam into jars and preserve.
