Fried pies with onions and eggs that keep for a long time: dough recipe

Salted fried pies are especially delicious when made from potato dough. They are soft, golden, have a slightly crispy crust and are stored longer than classic pies.

The recipe for fried potato patties with eggs and onions was published on one of Luda Easy Cook's Ukrainian Chef cooking channels on YouTube.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • potatoes - 300 g
  • eggs - 1 pc
  • kefir - 150 ml
  • sour cream - 50 g
  • baking soda - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 500 g

Filling:

  • green onions - a bunch
  • boiled eggs - 5 pcs
  • butter - 50 g
  • salt, pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the potatoes and boil in salted water until tender. Then mash them in mashed potatoes.

2. Add kefir and sour cream to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.

3. Add the egg and salt. Stir to combine.

4. Add the flour and baking soda to the mixture. Knead elastic dough. Cover with plastic wrap and leave for 15 minutes.

5. For the filling, chop the onion. Salt it and pour melted butter over it. Mix well.

6. Boil and chop the eggs. Mix with the onions.

7. Divide the finished dough into pieces. Wrap the filling in each of them and form pies.

8. Fry the pies.
