Fried pies like at the market: how to make crispy and fluffy dough

Housewives sell these pies at many markets. And it's hard to pass by such a delicacy - the dough is crispy, flavorful and full of juicy filling. If you use the following technology, anyone can make such products at home.

The idea of making fried pies like at the market was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yulia Senych (yuliia.senych). You can choose a salty or sweet filling.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • warm water - 250 ml.
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • dry yeast - 7 g
  • flour - 500 g
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp.

Ingredients for the filling to choose from:

  • mashed potatoes with mushrooms
  • sausages
  • fresh apples or cherries
  • stewed cabbage
  • oil for frying - 400 ml.

Method of preparation:

1. For the dough, sift the flour and add slightly warm water.

2. Add the yeast, sugar and salt.

3. Pour in the vegetable oil and knead the dough into a soft dough.

4. Leave the dough to rest in a warm place under a towel or plastic wrap for 40-60 minutes.

5. For the filling, boil the potatoes and mash them.

6. Fry mushrooms with onions. Or choose the filling you like.

7. Flatten the dough and divide it into pieces. It turns out about 12 pieces.

8. Roll out the dough by hand and form patties.

9. Leave to approach under a towel for 10-15 minutes.

10. Fry the pies in a large amount of oil until golden brown on both sides.

11. Put the finished pies on paper towels to absorb excess fat.
