French-style eggplant in the oven: recipe for the perfect appetizer in 15 minutes
Eggplants are very satisfying and nutritious vegetables that are easy to prepare. For example, they can be the basis for delicious appetizers, one of which is French-style baked eggplant. All you need is a spice and garlic sauce, as well as tomatoes and hard cheese for the perfect flavor.
Food blogger Maryna Novikova (marisha_recepti) shared a recipe for French-style baked eggplant on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- eggplant - 2 pcs.
- garlic - 2-3 cloves
- hard cheese - 200 g
- tomatoes
- Provence herbs, pepper
- vegetable oil
- mayonnaise
Method of preparation:
1. Cut eggplants into slices. Put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment and season with salt.
2. Mix spices, oil and chopped garlic. Lubricate the eggplants with the resulting sauce.
3. Cut the tomatoes into slices and place them on the eggplant.
4. Sprinkle the eggplant with grated cheese and make a mesh from mayonnaise on top.
5. Bake at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
