Who doesn't love delicious, homemade, flavorful pies with different fillings, especially in summer, when there are so many different seasonal vegetables, fruits and berries. Now is the time to cook something special with an unexpected filling that will definitely impress anyone.

The FoodOboz editorial team has prepared for you a recipe for a flavorful, homemade, filling French cherry pie – clafoutis, which you can easily prepare.


  • cherries - 500 g
  • flour - 100 g
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • sugar - 100 g
  • baking powder - 1.5 tsp.
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
  • milk - 250 ml
  • butter - 20-30 g
  • salt - a pinch

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the cherries well and dry them.
  2. For the dough: beat eggs with salt and sugar, add milk and sifted flour with baking powder, whisk well until it becomes liquid sour cream.
  3. Take separate molds (but you can use one), grease them well with butter.
  4. Put the cherries on the bottom, no need to remove the pits, and pour the batter on top.
  5. Put the clafoutis in a preheated oven at 200 C for 30-45 minutes, bake until done.

You can serve the delicacy both hot and cooled, the cake will be equally delicious.
