French cheese soup with chicken and celery – a recipe for a perfect lunch

Soups, pies with salty and sweet fillings, dumplings, as well as vegetable stews and casseroles can be an ideal option for such a dinner.

The FoodOboz editorial team has prepared a delicious recipe for a real French cheese soup with chicken and herbs.

Ingredients:

  • water - 2-3 liters
  • chicken fillet - 2 pcs.
  • potatoes - 2-3 pcs.
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • celery - 2-4 stalks
  • processed cheese - 1 pc.
  • coriander - to taste
  • salt, pepper - a pinch
  • peppercorns - 2-4 pcs.
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • butter - 30 g

Method of preparation:

  1. Put the fillet in a saucepan with cold water, add peppercorns and bay leaf, and cook for about 20 minutes.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.
  3. Wash, peel, and grate the carrots on a large grater.
  4. Cut the onion into small cubes and put it in a frying pan with the carrots, fry in butter for about 3 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, take out the cooked fillet and add the potatoes to the same water, cook for about 15 minutes.
  6. Cut the fillet into cubes.
  7. Send the finished roast to the potatoes, mix, add the melted cheese, mix again, season well with salt and pepper, add the coriander and chopped fillet, and mix again, let it boil well and cook for another 10 minutes.
  8. At the very end, add chopped herbs and chopped celery to the soup.

The dish is best eaten hot, you can add breadcrumbs to make it even tastier.
