For first courses and more: how to make lazy puff pastry pies with mushrooms
It's no secret that pies are a simple, versatile dish that can replace even ordinary bread. They can be made with both sweet and savory fillings. In this form, they are especially satisfying and nutritious - you can even eat them with the first course. You can use ready-made puff pastry as a basis and not spend a lot of time preparing classic yeast dough.
Food blogger Ivanka Bodnar (pokutjanka) shared a recipe for puff pastry pies on her Instagram page, which can be eaten on their own or served with first courses.
Ingredients:
- puff pastry – 450g
- fresh mushrooms – 350g
- onion – 1 pc
- cream 20% – 200ml
- hard cheese – 120g
- eggs – 1 pc
- greens at will
- sesame seeds at will
- salt and pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the mushrooms and onions. Put to fry on the stove.
2. Add the cream.
3. When the mushrooms have boiled slightly, add the grated cheese and herbs. Stir and leave to cool for a while.
4. Meanwhile, cut the dough into pieces. Roll out a little and divide it into quadrangles.
5. Put the filling and form the pies into triangles.
6. Brush the patties with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the pies for 20 minutes.
