It's hard to imagine borsch without lard. However, it is worth noting that lard can also be used to make a delicious spread by adding garlic and spices, and baked in the oven.
A cook shared a recipe for a delicious, budget-friendly, and easy-to-make lard spread on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Lard 400 g.
- Hot chili 1 pc.
- Garlic 1 head
- Salt 1-1.5 tsp
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp.
- Dill bunch
Method of preparation:
1. Pass all the ingredients through a meat grinder using a fine mesh.
2. Add finely chopped herbs, mix and transfer to a suitable dish.
Store in the refrigerator.
