For all side dishes: mushroom gravy with spices and garlic in 15 minutes
Mushrooms are a product that can be used to make not only soup or salad but also a delicious and versatile gravy that will add an original flavor to any side dish. It is worth noting that the sauce can be made from any mushroom, the taste will vary only depending on the type of mushroom, for example, with champignons the dish will be more tender, and with wild mushrooms it will be more spicy and rich.
Cook Olena Sahun shared a recipe for an easy-to-make mushroom gravy with sour cream, spices, and garlic on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- dried porcini mushrooms or champignons – 50 g
- onion – 1 pc
- garlic – 1-2 cloves
- sour cream – 250 g
- flour – 1 tbsp
- salt, pepper – to taste
- oil for frying – 1-2 tbsp
- Water
Method of preparation:
1. Put the dried mushrooms in a deep bowl, pour boiling water so that the water completely covers the mushrooms, stir with a spoon, cover with a plate or lid, and let stand for about 30 minutes. Then drain and rinse the mushrooms.
2. Sour cream sauce: in a suitable container, mix water and flour, and mix well so that there are no lumps, add the prepared mixture to the sour cream, and mix again.
3. Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry over medium heat until golden brown. Then add the mushrooms and pour in the water, simmer until soft. Season with pepper and salt and then add the sour cream filling and mix.
