Red currant is a budget-friendly and healthy berry. It can be used to make jam for the winter, but to preserve the maximum benefit, you can make jelly. You need only three ingredients.

The idea of making red currant jelly for the winter was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Tetiana (tanyushina).

Ingredients:

  • red currants - 1 kg
  • sugar - 800 g

Method of preparation:

1. Rinse the currants well, put them in a saucepan, and put on the fire.

2. As it heats up, the red currants will give juice and become soft.

3. The mass only needs to be heated. Do not boil them.

4. As soon as the berry is soft and the juice is released, the jam is ready.

5. Put the red currants in a sieve and beat.

6. Pour the puree back into the saucepan, add sugar, put on fire and bring to a boil.

7. Immediately pour into sterile jars and close with lids.
