Flavored banana cake by Hector Jimenez-Bravo
Everyone loves pies, especially those with fruit, jam, nuts, and raisins. The most important thing is to make a good base – the dough, which determines the taste of the dish.
MasterChef judge and popular Ukrainian chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo shared a recipe for a delicious banana pie on Instagram, which will be a great tea treat.
Ingredients:
- Puff pastry - 1 sheet
- Bananas - 4 pcs.
- Brown sugar - 150 g
- Butter - 100 g
- Vanilla - 1 g
- Cinnamon - 1 g
Method of preparation:
- Peel the bananas, cut 2 of them in half, and leave 2 whole.
- Put butter and brown sugar in a heavy-bottomed frying pan, add cinnamon and vanilla.
- Heat until a homogeneous caramel is formed, dip the bananas into it, and turn them over so that the bananas are covered in caramel.
- Put an iron mold on the puff pastry and cut the dough to fit it. Make notches with a fork all over the surface.
- Put the caramel-covered bananas in the mold and pour the rest of the dough over them. Put the pre-cut dough on top of the bananas and smooth it along the edges so that the dough is tight.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 180 C.
After baking, leave it to cool completely, put a plate on top of the mold, and turn our Banofi over.
