Everyone loves pies, especially those with fruit, jam, nuts, and raisins. The most important thing is to make a good base – the dough, which determines the taste of the dish.

MasterChef judge and popular Ukrainian chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo shared a recipe for a delicious banana pie on Instagram, which will be a great tea treat.

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry - 1 sheet
  • Bananas - 4 pcs.
  • Brown sugar - 150 g
  • Butter - 100 g
  • Vanilla - 1 g
  • Cinnamon - 1 g

Method of preparation:

  1. Peel the bananas, cut 2 of them in half, and leave 2 whole.
  2. Put butter and brown sugar in a heavy-bottomed frying pan, add cinnamon and vanilla.
  3. Heat until a homogeneous caramel is formed, dip the bananas into it, and turn them over so that the bananas are covered in caramel.
  4. Put an iron mold on the puff pastry and cut the dough to fit it. Make notches with a fork all over the surface.
  5. Put the caramel-covered bananas in the mold and pour the rest of the dough over them. Put the pre-cut dough on top of the bananas and smooth it along the edges so that the dough is tight.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes at 180 C.

After baking, leave it to cool completely, put a plate on top of the mold, and turn our Banofi over.
