There are times when you really want street food. The realization that it can have a bad effect on the body keeps you from making such a purchase. But healthy fast food can be prepared at home. Today, FoodOboz editors are sharing a recipe for healthy shawarma made from simple ingredients, which nutritionist Slava Oksen posted on his Instagram page.

Homemade shawarma

⠀⠀⠀

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet - 200 g
  • Cucumber - 1 pc ⠀
  • Tomato - 2 pieces
  • Cabbage - at your discretion (depending on the volume) ⠀ ⠀

Ingredients for the sauce:⠀⠀ ⠀

  • Greens and sour cream - 1/1 (depending on the volume)
  • Garlic - 1 clove ⠀
  • Salt, pepper, and favorite spices - to taste

Method of preparation:⠀⠀⠀

1. Fry the chicken breast in a little oil, sprinkle with spices, and cut into large pieces (this adds juiciness to the shawarma). ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀

2. The sauce is simple: chop the herbs, garlic, and spices, add sour cream, and mix everything. ⠀

The taste is not inferior to sauces from street stalls – much tastier, and most importantly – healthier.

3. Wrap the filling with the sauce in pita bread and put it in a preheated frying pan, turn it over, take it out, cut it, and enjoy the taste.
