Famous Plăcintă with filling: recipe for the simplest dough on water
Plăcintă is a special kind of flat pie filled with cheese, cottage cheese, apples, cabbage, or pumpkin. It is not known whether this peculiar delicacy belongs to Odessans or Moldovans. But the fact remains that it is an extremely tasty dish that is easy to prepare at home.
As part of his Field Kitchen project, renowned journalist Kostiantyn Hrubych and heroine Nadia Bershadska shared a recipe and cooked real Plăcintă.
Ingredients:
- flour - 3 tbsp.
- vinegar - 1.5 tbsp.
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine - 200 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
Filling:
- cottage cheese - 500 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- greens
Method of preparation:
1. Mix the egg, salt, vinegar.
2. Pour three quarters of water. Stir.
3. Gradually add 2 cups of flour. Stir to combine.
4. Grate the margarine until smooth. Add the rest of the flour at the same time. Knead the elastic dough and refrigerate for 1 hour.
5. For the filling, mash the cottage cheese with a fork. Add eggs and chopped dill.
6. Divide the finished dough into 6-7 parts. Roll each of them out thinly.
7. Put the filling in the middle of each layer, spread it evenly without reaching the sides. Cut the sides in the shape of sun rays. Wrap to the middle.
8. Fry the plachindas for 4-5 minutes on each side.
