Experts told how to distinguish cheese from a cheese product
Cheese is a tasty, satisfying, and healthy product if it is of high quality and natural. But very often, unscrupulous manufacturers save money on natural products, replacing them with cheaper ones, and as a result, make a product that looks very similar to cheese, but is actually just a cheese product.
Nutritionist Boris Skachko and expert Olga Kari tell how not to fall for an advertising trick and an attractive price, and most importantly, how to distinguish a low-quality fake cheese product from a good, healthy one on the air of "Breakfast with 1+1 " on 1+1 TV channel (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
Nutritionist Borys Skachko said that animal fat is replaced with vegetable fat in cheese products, which negatively affects metabolism and harms the body in general.
Gastronomic expert Olha Kari said that palm oil is actually found in almost all products, and the point is how much you consume it, as it also has the ability to accumulate.
"Cheese products also contain it, as do most products, and dyes are added to make it look attractive, so it becomes even more harmful," the expert added.
How to distinguish natural, safe cheese from a cheese product – expert advice:
1. The difference in price
Cheese product is much cheaper than good cheese.
2. The smell
A cheese product will have a pronounced synthetic odor, while real cheese has a very pleasant milky flavor and the same taste.
3. Appearance
Remember, a cheese product is always viscous, not elastic, it breaks and bends. Real cheese, depending on the type, is always hard, loose, and, if it is, for example, brie, soft and viscous.
The expert recommends not skimping on products such as cheese, and indeed on all high-quality and natural products, because our health directly depends on what we eat.
