Plums are a great ingredient for making pies because they are juicy, moderately sweet, and have a pleasant sourness. In addition, it is very convenient to remove the pits from this fruit. Therefore, the pastries are not only very tasty but also cook quickly enough.

A simple idea for making a plum pie was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maryna Klymiuk (mariana_klymiuk).

Ingredients for the dough:

  • flour – 250 g
  • sugar – 125 g
  • butter – 125 g
  • eggs – 3 pcs
  • baking powder – 5 g

Ingredients for the sprinkle:

  • flour – 100 g
  • butter – 50 g
  • sugar – 50 g

Ingredients for the filling:

  • plums already peeled – 500-700 g

Method of preparation:

1. Prepare the streusel: combine the flour with sugar and cold butter in a bowl, and then grind everything into crumbs with your hands. Put it in the refrigerator.

2. Beat the butter at room temperature with sugar and gradually add 1 egg (also at room temperature, otherwise the mass will stratify).

3. Add flour and baking powder and beat for a few seconds until the dough is smooth.

4. Pit the plums and cut them into slices.

5. Cover the bottom of the mold with parchment and grease the sides with oil.

6. Pour the batter, then put the plums and sprinkle with streusel.

7. Bake in a preheated 180-degree oven for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
