Elementary plum pie: how to cook
Seasonal plums are a great ingredient for making pies. The fruit is moderately sweet and very juicy. Therefore, it goes well with flaky dough.
The idea of making a delicious plum pie was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Tetiana Sheremet (tania_sheremet).
Ingredients:
- flour – 160-170 g
- baking powder – 1 tsp
- sugar – 50 g
- butter – 70 g
- vanilla sugar or extract
- eggs – 1 pc
- plum – 600 g
- cornstarch – 1 tbsp
- powdered sugar – 40 g
- cinnamon – 0.5-1 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Add baking powder, and sugar to the sifted flour, mix, add butter at room temperature, and vanilla extract. Cut the butter and flour into crumbs, add the egg, and knead closely but not for long.
2. Spread the dough into a 20-cup baking dish covered with parchment.
3. Form the sides, and put in the freezer for 10 minutes.
4. Remove the pits from the plums.
5. Take the mold out of the freezer, sprinkle with cornstarch, and add the plums.
6. Mix the powdered sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the plums.
7. Put in the oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
