Elementary plum jam: cooked in a skillet

Traditionally, it takes a long time to make jam. Fruits or berries need to be boiled in several stages and kneaded for a long time to get the right consistency. Therefore, it is worth using a simpler option and making jam in a skillet.
The idea of making plum jam in a frying pan was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Juliia Symonchuk (cook_julija_simonchuk).
Ingredients:
- plums – 0.5 liters (pitted)
- sugar – 0.5 liters with a slide
- citric acid – on the tip of a knife
1. Put the peeled plums in a frying pan, put on maximum heat, and count exactly 5 minutes from the time of boiling.
2. Add sugar and wait again until it starts to boil, counting 5 minutes.
3. Add citric acid and boil for another 1 minute.
4. Stir occasionally during boiling to prevent the mass from burning.
5. Remove from heat, transfer to a sterile jar, and roll up.
