Honey cake is a classic cake that absolutely every housewife knows about. If you prepare the dessert using classic technology, the process takes quite a bit of time. Therefore, you can use a universal method and make the cakes directly in a frying pan – it will be much faster.
The idea of making a honey cake in a frying pan was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Halyna (reeixit).

- honey – 220 g
- baking soda – 1 tsp
- butter – 100 g
- 2 eggs
- flour 500 g
- a pinch of salt
Ingredients for the cream:
- 550 g sour cream
- 100 g sugar (you can use more, according to your taste)
Method of preparation:
1. Beat sour cream and sugar with a mixer until fluffy.
For the impregnation: 170 ml of milk.
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the honey and baking soda over low heat, stirring constantly until brown.
2. Turn off the heat.
3. Immediately add the butter, stir it, cool the mixture a little, and add the eggs.
4. Stir, then add flour and knead the dough.
5. Put the dough in a bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
6. Then cut into 8-10 pieces, and roll out a thin layer no more than 2 mm thick, because the dough will grow during baking.
7. Place the parchment on a preheated griddle, wait about 1 minute for the cake to set, remove the parchment, cover, and bake until cooked on both sides.
8. Bake for 2 minutes on 1 side. Make sure it does not burn.
9. Soak the cooled cakes with milk.
10. Each cake takes 3 tablespoons of milk: pour 1 liter, smooth, wait 30-40 seconds until the milk is absorbed, then pour 2 tablespoons and the 3rd. Then put 3 tablespoons of cream on the cake, smooth it out, and top it with the cake-milk-cream again.
11. Put the finished cake in the cold for 8-10 hours.
12. The diameter of the cakes is 20 cm. You get 9 pcs.
