Egg-free syrnyky with a secret ingredient: hold their shape well and don't burn to the pan
Traditionally, syrnyky are made with eggs to make the dough dense and hold its shape. However, to make the dish more dietary and still fluffy, you can use another ingredient. Steamed poppy seeds are perfect.
The idea of making fluffy egg-free syrnyky with poppy seeds was published on the Instagram page of nutritionist Vira (vira_marafon).
Ingredients:
- ricotta cream cheese - 150 g
- banana - a quarter
- coconut sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - a pinch
- coconut sugar - 1 tsp (if the banana is very ripe and sweet, you can do without it)
- poppy seeds - 1 cup
- cornstarch or flour - 1 tbsp
Method of preparation:
1. Combine everything and let it stand for 5 minutes to allow the poppy seeds to swell.
2. Form small syrnyky with wet hands or a glass.
3. Fry on a preheated pan under a lid over medium heat on both sides.
4. Decorate to taste and serve with your favorite fruit or jam.
