Easier than pasta: orzo with mussels and vegetables for dinner
If you want to cook a tasty and satisfying dish for dinner, but don't want to spend a lot of time, choose pasta, rice, orzo, for example, and be sure to add meat, seafood, and vegetables.
The chef shared a recipe for a delicious orzo with mussels, vegetables, Parmesan cheese, and cream on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 100 g of orzo pasta
- 15 g of butter
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- sweet pepper (I had half)
- 300-400 g of mussels
- salt, herbs of Provence
- 150 ml. cream 15-20%
- parsley
- parmesan cheese
Method of preparation:
1. Put the pasta in boiling salted water and boil for 15-20 minutes.
2. Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic over medium heat, then add the bell pepper.
3. Then add the pre-thawed mussels, salt, add spices, and mix well. Pour the cream at room temperature, reduce the heat to low, and cook for another 6-7 minutes!
4. Add parsley and orzo paste to the sauce, mix, and add grated Parmesan cheese on a fine grater.
