Dumplings with cherries on choux pastry that will always turn out well: a simple recipe
Dumplings are a traditional Ukrainian dish that everyone loves. Making dumplings is very simple, you just need to make a good dough and a delicious filling of vegetables, berries, meat, and fish.
Cook Liza Hlynska shared a recipe for delicious dumplings with cherries on Instagram, which are made with choux pastry.
Important: choux pastry can be stored for 2-3 days.
Ingredients:
Choux pastry:
- flour – 500 g
- boiling water – 250 ml
- sunflower oil – 50 ml
- salt – 10 g
Filling:
- Cherries – 300 g
- Sugar – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Mix salt with boiling water, add this solution and oil to the flour. Stir with a fork and then knead the dough with your hands. Leave the dough for an hour at room temperature.
2. Knead the dough well and put it in a bag and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
3. Dust the table and the dough with flour, roll it out, and press out circles 6 cm in diameter.
4. Spread the dough on the palm of your hand, add sugar (to taste), and add 2-3 cherries (with bone), or without.
5. Bring the water to a boil and add the dumplings, cook for 2-3 minutes.
Serve the dumplings with sour cream, it will be delicious!
