Donbas-style pork knuckle: how to cook to make the meat tender inside and crispy outside

Donbas-style pork knuckle is a delicious and, most importantly, nutritious dish. Given the peculiarities of that region of Ukraine, the dishes served on the table must be extremely nutritious and bring strength to the body after a hard day's work.

A food blogger with the nickname tastystories feed on Instagram told us how to cook Donbas-style pork knuckle. The meat will be very tender and the crust will be crispy.

Ingredients

  • pork knuckle - 1 piece
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • favorite spices - 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation

1. Make several cuts.

2. Add salt and seasonings.

3. Rub well and leave to marinate for 5-6 hours.

4. Put the knuckle in a baking dish and bake at 160 degrees for 2 hours, covered with foil.

5. Remove the foil and bake for another 30 minutes. From time to time, pour the fat that has drained into the baking dish over the knuckle.
