Do you know the two main rules for including vegetables in your diet?
As a rule, we may not like vegetables, first of all, because their consumption often causes discomfort in the digestive system.
With an improperly constructed diet, vegetables can cause constipation, bloating, and pain.
Nutritionist Olha Naboka told OBOZREVATEL about this in an exclusive commentary.
"The gastrointestinal tract is not able to digest a large amount of fresh vegetables and fruits in one sitting if you have not been eating salads for several years. The reason is insufficient functioning of the pancreas and stomach acidity disorders. This results in bloating, discomfort, constipation, and abdominal pain. Of course, the body tries to express its dissatisfaction by telling us: "I don't want vegetables, I don't like them".
To avoid such a situation, vegetables should be introduced into the diet gradually, in small quantities. If a person does not like vegetables at all, neither fresh nor stewed, you need to choose a list of products that will be most useful for their vital signs.
For example, if a person has pancreatitis, they should not eat fresh vegetables. Such a person needs stewed or steamed vegetables.
If there is nothing wrong with your health and all vital signs are normal, it is better to eat raw vegetables. Any greens are also needed.
But most importantly, we must control the amount of vegetables. You need to eat at least one spoonful of vegetables three times a day before the main course. In this way, the digestive system will gradually rebuild, and eating habits will change.
If we used to feel heavy in the stomach after eating vegetables, then with the right approach, this heaviness will disappear. As a result, our perception of vegetables and our attitude towards them will change.
With the right diet and the right approach, we can force our digestive system to rebuild its functionality to produce more enzymes and pancreatic juices, specifically for vegetables.
Without the gradual introduction of vegetables into the diet, it will not be possible to achieve normal stomach function.
Hence the 2 main rules:
1. Introduce vegetables to the diet gradually.
2. Choose exactly those products and cooking methods that do not cause discomfort.
