You don't have to be Jamie Oliver to make dinner in half an hour. Anyone can cope with this task if they have the desire.

In this recipe, we use already cooked rice, so leftover rice without spices will do (for example, if you cooked rice for cabbage rolls or made meatballs). Also, you will specially boil the rice – any round or long-grain rice will do. Instead of chicken, you can take beef, mushrooms, shrimp, or other seafood.

  • boiled rice - 1 cup
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • chicken fillet - 1 pc.
  • ginger - a small piece
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • small carrots - 1 pc.
  • frozen green peas - 3 tbsp.
  • oil - for frying
  • sweet chili sauce - 2 tbsp.
  • soy sauce - 6 tbsp.
  • green onions - 3 feathers (for serving)
  1. Beat the egg, and fry it according to the scramble principle: pour it into a heated and oiled frying pan and immediately start stirring so that the mass begins to gather in lumps. When the scramble is ready, transfer to a plate.
  2. Put the green peas in boiling water and cook for another five minutes after the water boils again. Then put them in a colander and let them drain.
  3. Wash the chicken, pat dry, and cut into small pieces. Put it in a frying pan, pour half of the soy sauce (3 tbsp), and fry under the lid until the sauce evaporates. When the sauce is gone, add a clove of garlic flattened with a knife to the pan and fry, stirring, over medium heat. As soon as the garlic gives off an odor, remove it from the pan.
  4. Peel the ginger and carrots. Finely chop the ginger with a knife, cut the carrots into strips or small cubes. Put the ginger and carrots in the pan with the chicken and fry, stirring, over high heat for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add cooked rice, peas, scrambled eggs, sweet chili sauce, and soy sauce. Fry, stirring vigorously, for another couple of minutes.
  6. When serving, sprinkle with finely chopped green onions. You can also add soybean sprouts if desired.
