Delicious liver salad for all occasions: what to dress with
Chicken liver can be used to make a delicious mayonnaise salad. The meat will not be bitter and will be very tender. The dish is perfect for both festive and everyday table.
The idea of preparing a hearty liver salad was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname zhuravlina cooking. It is seasoned with mayonnaise.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 650 g
- onion - 2-3 pcs.
- carrots - 1 large pc. or 2 medium pcs.
- pickled cucumbers - 4-5 medium pcs.
- boiled eggs - 5 pcs.
- hard cheese - 100 g
- mayonnaise
- salt/pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the chicken liver very well. Remove the excess fat.
2. Put it in a saucepan, cover with water and cook over low heat until it boils.
3. After boiling, reduce to small fire, remove the foam with a spoon and cook under a closed lid for 20 minutes.
4. The main thing is not to overcook the liver as it will be very hard and tough.
5. Cool the prepared liver and grate it on a coarse grater.
6. Pour oil into the hot frying pan.
7. Put the diced onion and carrots grated on a coarse grater.
8. Fry over low heat until tender, stirring occasionally.
9. The salad can be formed in a ring or simply in a glass mold.
10. Put 1/2 of all the ingredients, and then the rest of the ingredients, repeating the layers.
11. The first layer is grated chicken liver + mayonnaise.
12. The second layer is the roast cooled to room temperature + salt and pepper to taste.
13. The third layer is pickled cucumbers cut into strips + mayonnaise.
14. The fourth layer is grated eggs on a coarse grater + mayonnaise.
15. Repeat. The last layer is finely grated hard cheese.
16. The salad can be served immediately. Remove the mold or refrigerate for an hour.
