Delicious baked mackerel with potatoes: the fish just melts in your mouth
Mackerel is always very affordable, hearty and tasty. This fish is ideal for baking. It is very juicy and lean. It can be immediately combined with potatoes to make a complete dish.
The idea of cooking baked mackerel with potatoes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Natalia Zhuk (nataliia_zhuk_cooking). The honey and mustard sauce adds a special flavor.
Ingredients:
- mackerel - 2 pcs.
- potatoes - 700 g (boiled in salted water)
- onion
- cherry tomatoes
- Provencal herbs
- sour cream - 100 g
- grainy mustard - 1 tbsp
- honey - 1 tbsp
- oil - 2 tbsp
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Make cuts in the mackerel fillet.
2. Salt it a little and make a sauce.
3. Add the grainy mustard, a tablespoon of honey, oil, salt and black pepper to the sour cream to taste.
4. Mix well.
5. Then put the already boiled potatoes on a baking sheet.
6. Top with 1 chopped onion, halved cherry tomatoes.
7. Sprinkle with Provencal herbs.
8. Put the fish and brush it with the sauce.
9. Put in a preheated 200-degree oven for 20 minutes.
10. Put the cooked fish on a plate.
