Delicate donuts for the whole family: what dough to use and what to fry

The fastest dessert you can make for a holiday and treat the whole family to is donuts. The flavorful and fluffy dough goes well with any filling and just melts in your mouth. But to make the dish truly perfect, you need to follow the right cooking technique.

Ingredients:

Quantity: 30 pcs.

  • milk - 0.5 liters
  • salt - 0.5 tsp.
  • sugar - 3 tbsp;
  • pressed yeast - 50 g
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • sour cream - 1 tbsp.
  • butter - 25 g
  • oil - 2 tbsp.
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
  • lemon zest - 1 tsp.
  • baking soda - 0.5 tsp (slaked with vinegar);
  • flour - 900 g
  • oil for frying - 0.75 ml

Method of preparation:

1. Dissolve salt, sugar, and yeast in warm milk.

2. Make the mass homogeneous.

3. Add the egg, sour cream, melted but not hot butter, oil, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, slaked soda, and mix after each added ingredient.

4. Sift all the flour and add one part to the liquid mass.

5. Mix well with a whisk, and add the second part of the flour.

6. Knead the dough with your hands until it does not stick to your hands.

7. Put cling film on top and leave in a warm place.

8. After that, knead well and form small pieces into balls, and put the filling inside to your taste.

9. Pinch well, place on a flat surface, cover, and leave for 20 minutes. The finished products should increase in size.

10. Pour the oil into a not-too-wide saucepan.

11. Preheat, and fry the doughnuts on medium heat on both sides.

12. To absorb excess oil, put on a paper towel.

13. After the donuts have cooled, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
