Ingredients for 3 ½ liter jars

  • Currants - 1.5 kg
  • Sugar - 1.5 kg

The method of preparation

1. Wash the currants, cover with sugar and crush to release the juice.

2. Turn on the heat and cook over low heat, stirring constantly.

3. There is no need to collect the foam. Cook for 7 minutes, then reduce the heat and cook for another 3 minutes.

4. Strain through a sieve and pour into sterile jars.

5. Leave the jars to cool completely and only then close them with sterile lids.
