Cucumber salad for winter: recipe for a successful preservation
The most delicious salad for the winter is made with cucumbers. All the ingredients for the dish are always in the garden, so it was very budget-friendly.
The idea of making cucumber salad for the winter was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maria Makarchuk (makarchuk food). Sterilization is mandatory.
Ingredients:
- cucumbers - 2 kg.
- onions - 500 g
- carrots - 500 g
- garlic - 1 head
- salt - 100 g
- sugar - 200 g
- vegetable oil - 180 ml.
- vinegar - 150 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the cucumbers well.
2. Cut into slices.
3. Cut the onion into half rings.
4. Grate the carrots on a grater for Korean-style carrots.
5. Mix all the vegetables.
6. Add salt, sugar, and 9% vinegar.
7. Chop the garlic.
8. Add to the vegetables.
9. Mix everything well and leave for an hour.
10. After the vegetables have released juice, put the salad in jars and close with lids immediately.
11. Sterilize the jars from the moment of boiling (0.5 - 15 minutes, 1 liter - 30 minutes).
