Crispy sauerkraut with honey that is ready in 2 days
White cabbage is an ideal product for making not only borscht and salads but also a product that makes a delicious snack, namely sauerkraut with spices and vegetables. According to experts, it contains a lot of vitamin C and can and should be eaten by everyone.
Cook Tetiana shared a recipe for delicious, crispy sauerkraut with honey on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- cabbage - 1 pc.
- carrots - 2-3 pcs.
- green onions
Brine:
- for 1 liter of water - 1.5 tbsp. of salt
- honey - 1.5 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. For the brine, bring water to a boil and cool. Add 1.5 tbsp of honey and stir to dissolve. Leave to cool completely.
2. Chop the cabbage, grate the carrots and mix well.
3. Tamp firmly in a suitable dish, pour brine over and leave on the table for 1.5-2.5 days.
