Crispy pita bread rolls with pita filling: just what you need for a snack
Rolini is exactly the kind of dish that should be made with pita bread. And if you wrap hard cheese inside, you will get a real explosion of flavors. After all, the crust is very thin and crispy, and the filling is viscous and tender.
Popular Ukrainian food blogger Lilia Tsvit shared a recipe for crispy cheese rolls on her YouTube channel, which you can easily make with pita bread (scroll to the end to watch the video ).
Ingredients:
- pita bread - 2 sheets
- cheese - 200 g
- mushrooms - 400 g
- egg yolk - 1 pc.
- sesame seeds
Method of preparation:
1. First, prepare some ingredients: grate hard cheese, cook mushrooms.
2. Next, grease a sheet of pita bread with melted butter. Spread a layer of cheese evenly.
3. Put a row of mushrooms vertically on one side of the pita bread and on the other side. Roll the rolls up to the middle on both sides. Put the formed rolls on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
4. Repeat the same with another sheet of pita bread.
5. Grease the rolls with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
6. Bake at 220 degrees for 20 minutes.
