Crispy pies with cherries: they will be tastier than McDonald's
Juicy and flavorful cherry pies with a crispy crust are a delicious dessert sold at McDonald's. But they can be made at home, where they will turn out even tastier.
Food blogger Lisa Glinska shared how to make McDonald's-like pies at home on Instagram. She claims that the recipe is not difficult at all.
Ingredients for the dough
- Flour - 500 gr
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Water - 240 ml
- Oil - 40 ml
- Vodka - 20 ml
Ingredients for the filling
- Cherries - 600 gr
- Corn starch - 40 g
- Sugar - 150 g
Additional ingredients
- Oil for frying
How to cook
1.Prepare the dough. Mix salt with flour, add water (boiling water), vodka and vegetable oil. Knead the dough with a silicone spatula and then with your hands for 3-4 minutes.
2. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes.
3. Remove the plastic wrap and hang it out again for 2-3 minutes.
4. Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
5. Prepare the filling. Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan: cherries, sugar, cornstarch.
6. Put it on the stove and brew the filling, stirring constantly. It should boil for 1 minute.
7. Remove the saucepan from the stove and transfer the filling to another container and leave to cool.
8. Roll out the dough into a 3 mm thick layer.
9. Spread the cherry filling.
10. Moisten the gaps between the dough with water.
11. Cover the filling with dough and cut into pieces.
12. Take one pie and pinch the edges with a fork.
13. Fry the patties on both sides in well-heated vegetable oil.
14. Put the finished pies on a paper towel.
